Vacation Rentals in the Pearl Islands

Comments and Reviews

Here’s what some of our recent guests have to say about their stay on Saboga.

We really enjoy our stay at Saboga and was our best decision to spent 4 wonderful days at Sonya house. Sonya not only gave us a very welcome reception and explained every detail of how to run her beautiful house but even took her time to move us around the island. Sonya`s house is really beautiful, well maintained and full of little details of good taste and decoration. The main kitchen is a dream's cooker kitchen and the suites has very nice views, beds, baths...The view from the house is really spectacular and its site, near the beach and the island restaurant made it a best choice in Saboga. Thank you Sonya, we will be back soon again.

An Amazing Experience...

This is an amazing experience. You are truly on a seclude island. The house is perfect. Jennifer is an amazing host. She gave us a tour of the island, which was truly special. We can’t say enough about the beauty of the island and the house!

Spring break on a peaceful and beautiful island

My wife and two sons spent March 25-29th at El Remanso on Isla Saboga. We have been to many beach resorts all over the world and were still impressed by the accommodations with a pristine beach, white sand and clear water 50 yards away. We rented the Parrot and Eagle suites for the 4 of us and that was plenty of space. The rooms were clean and extra comfortable all with amazing views of the sunset through the palm trees. The water was plentiful and clean for drinking. Plus the outdoor shower was so refreshing and a great way to get the sand and salt water rinsed off. What really made the stay extra wonderful were our host Jennifer and Lee who made sure that we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Jennifer drove us all over the Island in an ATV and was a wealth of information about things to do and what to see. We especially loved the trip to Playa Larga and seeing the grandfather tree. Really the natural setting was the highlight of El Remanso; it is sited amongst tall trees with plantings of fruit and flowers all around. Every day we watched the birds and butterflies from the deck and swam in the clear, warm water of a mostly deserted beach. Just what we were looking for. Although there is a restaurant just down the beach, be sure to bring food from the mainland. The kitchen in Green Parrott is well stocked for cooking.

Everything about this gorgeous B&B on the remote island of Saboga exceeded our expectations. Our accommodations were spacious, immaculately clean, beautifully furnished and tastefully decorated. It's built into the side of a hill with steps right down to the beach with stunning views. From the decks (and your room), you've got spectacular views over the Pacific. It's just a short walk to the island's only restaurant & beach club. In fact Saboga's only village and all of its beaches are within easy walking distance from this location. Our hosts, Lee & Jennifer, were remarkably committed to ensuring we had the best possible Saboga experience. Even before we booked, they offered lots of information to help with our planning. They were very patient...we had lots of logistical questions and they simplified things tremendously. Once we were there, they went out of their way to help us find the best beaches for shelling, the best place to rent a sailboat/paddle board/kayak, you name it. If you're into really getting away from it all and exploring the most remote, pristine beaches you may ever see, Lee & Jennifer will help you have your best-ever vacation here.

“Perfect hideaway, even for a short trip”

We stayed here for three nights this July and had one room in the main house as well as a separate apartment in a different building for our parents. They are in their 80s and had no problem getting around at all. Lee and Jenifer were perfect hosts - before and during our stay - and if it weren't for the small town on the other side of the island, that just wasn't easy to navigate with regards to buying food, it would have been heaven. [We do speak the language and are not shy. But they simply did not have much to buy to begin with. So it is highly recommended you bring at least a little food for your dinners and breakfast!] The beachclub on the "house beach" is excellent, has great food for lunch time and we were mostly by ourselves throughout our stay. Private island feeling with plenty to do and see like whalewatching, picking mangos, going for a drive through the lush island and endless beach walks... We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and are glad to have made the trip. Since we had our parents with us it might be good to know, that this island (as opposed to Contadora) has a proper pier for the ferry to land and most everything is accessible via walkways without stairs. Thanks again Lee and Jenifer! A real pleasure to meet you!

Unspoilt but comfortable. There are very few places that can boast of that. In Jennifer and Lee's House you have all the facilities of an impressive house few steps away from paradise beaches where rarely you are going to find someone else. The Island is marvellous, the spot unsurpassable, and the attention and hospitality of Jennifer and Lee the BEST! We will definitely become frequents of this place!

El Remanso on Isla Saboga is one of Panama’s best kept secrets! If you are looking for an extremely quiet and secluded place to totally relax in paradise, look no further. Lee and Jennifer will tend to all of your needs on the island, from meeting you at the dock, giving you a tour of the island, making sure you have everything you need, and then leaving you to your vacation but being completely available if you need anything. The facilities are very well-appointed. The beach is literally down the steps from the house. You can choose long daily walks and snorkeling, or just get comfortable in a chair with a good book on the beach all day. There really are no structured activities for you on this island, so come prepared to entertain yourselves, which is exactly what we were looking for! The benefit is that on any given day we could choose from any number of deserted beaches to hang out on. There is only one restaurant that is open for breakfast and lunch so you’ll need to bring your own food for dinners. The kitchens in El Remanso make that very easy. I can’t say enough about how relaxing our stay on Isla Saboga was.

Amo esa casa!

Ultra super recomendable.

“Perfect nature connection”

El Remanso is definitely what I was searching for: relaxing, disconnection from the rush of the city (although it has a very good and useful - for some quick work if you need it - wi-fi connection) and contact with nature. The room was literally under the trees and with an incredible view for the tiny charming beautiful beach (almost private, once to get there from the regular place where the few tourists come, there´s some rocks barrier). Strongly recommend!

Jennifer and Lee were very kind and helpful from the moment I made the reservation until the moment we left. The place is like the photos, clean, cozy and organized. Everything was perfect!

What a fantastic holiday we had! The most amazing place to relax and enjoy beaches all to yourself! Its a place for people who don’t like crowds and love nature and being outside. Our room was fantastic right off the beach with a full kitchen. We will be back as soon as we can!!! Thank you so much jennifer and lee for sharing your little slice of heaven with us for our holiday!

We stayed in Casa 23. The location was perfect, possibly the nearest spot to the beach one could ask for. The entire island exceeded our expectations. Making it a truly memorable family vacation. I much prefer Saboga to Contadora. Isla Saboga is a more remote and spartan no frills island but made the vacation a whole lot more enjoyable. And hopefully it will remain this way for years to come. Remote Beaches you could walk or Kayak to. Warm crystal clear waters. Then hunting for coconuts, papaya and limes in the small jungles around the island. Please note that you do need to bring food with you. Lee and Jennifer and Sonya the owner of the villa were helpful and great with communications, and made all of this really easy to navigate. Prior to arrival it was arranged for a delivery of fresh local produce. To make it better we purchased fresh caught Dorado from the local fishermen for a very reasonable price. The local shops are a little unpredictable in what they carry. Nonetheless we managed to purchase the basics from them. Potatoes, cooking oil, plantains, rice, cookies and sodas. But do be aware it varies from day to day whats in stock. We are a family of 4. The home was plenty big enough, comfy beds, an excellently equipped kitchen and bbq. Wifi and cable TV. So was everything and more than we needed. Overall we loved the island and our place and will certainly consider going again.

Superb house, very comfortable and quiet... Private access to the beautiful and almost private beach. We felt we were the new « robinsons » Lee and Jennifer are just two lovely people.

For nature lover, best place I have ever been! Great location, peaceful, quiet, with it's own (spectacular) private beach. An entire month went by very fast...and the hosts, Jennifer and Lee, have been very helpful and accommodating.

A beautiful property and an entire coastline to explore.....

Spent 3 nights/4 days with our 2 children ages 8 and 11. A truly wonderful experience. A great apartment with a terrace overlooking the beautiful beach and daily sunsets. We brought our own food and the kitchen was perfect for cooking. Everything was clean upon arrival and Jennifer and Lee were great hosts; always available to answer questions but never obtrusive (thanks again Jennifer for the awesome prawns!!). The perfect place to get away from it all. A beautiful property and an entire coastline to explore at low tide where you will likely not meet a single person for hours. Missing the ocean view as I stare out at the snow outside my window… Natalia Montreal, Canada
